We express our concern about the increase in aggressions and attacks against organizations at the national level, We find what happened alarming because, not only does it violate the privacy and security of its collaborators; but constitutes a serious violation of their work in favor of women's access to justice.
The signatory organizations we demand:
1.To the Attorney General's Office of CDMX a research with a gender perspective which considers the work that the Equis colleagues carry out in supporting women in situations of violence in legal processes., as well as collectives and CSOs
2.That the Protection Mechanism for Human Rights Defenders and Journalists reinforce protection measures that guarantee the safety and integrity of collaborators.
3.To the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City and the Government of Mexico City to take urgent measures to guarantee their protection and the conditions so that the colleagues can continue with their work.
We reiterate our support, admiration and affection to the entire EQUIS team and we will be vigilant that the case does not go unpunished.
