We are looking for a person who assumes the charge of PRofesional in Law for support from the Technical Secretariat of the Network of LGBTI+ litigants of the Americas.

Description: The Technical Secretariat is coordinated by a person and composed of a team that acts as a professional basis providing technical support, logistic, Informative to the network and its different instances; and running network activities. The Technical Secretariat is the main contact between the people who make up the network and its different levels.
For the purposes of this call, natural persons interested in linking in this position are convened, With the following functions:
I. Functions: The professional person in law will respond directly to the coordination of the Technical Secretariat of the Network and, Within the framework of the project, before Colombia diverse. Among the main functions, the following are indicated:
A. Project reports. Develop project activities reports. All of the above to be presented before third parties as well as the Board of Directors of the Network for approval. The above in accordance with the schedules set by the coordination of the Technical Secretariat and the schedules of each project and/or the requirements that Colombia diverse increases.
B. Litigation and incidence actions. Support the execution and coordination of litigation actions and international legal and political impact from the Network of LGBT litigants of the Americas including:
1. Prioritize cases that the network will support according to the guidelines set by the network
2. The elaboration of thematic reports on LGBT people rights, as well as the writing of friend of the court before national and international judicial bodies and their coordination/supervision when they are hired through the legal actions fund;
3. Make applications and Answer requirements CIDH RELATORS/IDH CUT, United Nations Treaty Committees, Among other United Nations and Nations organs.
4. Maintain a Annual Calendar of Activities, terms y incidence opportunities.
5. Support Training y Formations To activists, DD.HH., litigant, Justice operators among others.
C. Support support and monitoring of the network. Support internal communication work of the litigant network, With the sending of monthly emails about advances to members, as well as providing ideas for the elaboration of content for social networks and website. In the same way, support is expected to raise content to the intranet of the network.
D. Logistic coordination and support and impulse of the network. Support the functioning of the spaces and instances of the network. The above includes activities such as the General Assembly, the sessions of the committees and the Board of Directors, as well as responding to the requests and/or requirements of members of the Network.
E. Support in issues related to the project. It is expected that project activities also support in general, under the requirements made by the technical secretary of the Network and/or Colombia diverse.
F. Others that may arise in the development of the activities of the Network of LGBTI+ litigants of the Americas and designated by the Technical Secretary
II. Type of hiring. Services provision contract, that is governed under legislation, Rates and Taxes of the Republic of Colombia. The contract will be initially signed until March 2025 and may be renewed according to the performance and availability of resources.

IV. Valor: The contract will have approximate value of 5.500.000 Colombian pesos (COP) monthly¹ . In the case of foreigners, It can vary at the time of negotiation with the International Bank and will fluctuate according to change rates, as well as for the corresponding withholdings.
V. Requirements: To opt for position, The person must meet and prove the following requirements:
a. Undergraduate in law / Bachelor of Law. Postgraduate studies in international law will be valued, Human or related rights.
b. General experience. 3 Years of experience in law.
c. Specific experience. 3 Years of experience in support for international litigation and international incidence related to people LGBTIQ+, women, and sexual and reproductive rights.

VII. Assessment:

VIII. Interviews: Interviews will be conducted. Each interview will have an approximate duration of 25 minutes. The committee will assign a score of up to 20 points for the interview. The following aspects will be evaluated:

c. Characteristics of previous experience and studies carried out. (5 points).
d. The other aspects on which the committee decides to investigate. (5 points).
The Committee will compare the resumes, written evaluations and interviews, and will proceed to select the person for the position of professional in law.
